Adopt a Bamboo Initiative

So you’ve heard about the amazing benefits of bamboo. It can capture great quantities of CO2 from the atmosphere and replace it with vital oxygen. It can restore tropical forests, bolster topsoil, and prevent erosion. Bamboo can even help to purify contaminated water  There are so many reasons to grow bamboo. But it’s not necessarily a practical option for everyone. The good news is that even if you lack the space or the horticultural skills, you can now adopt a bamboo and support the green revolution.

Bambú Warriors, based in Chapala, now offers businesses and private individuals in our community  the opportunity to adopt a bamboo clump and offset a portion of their own carbon footprint. With a small donation of $25, individual benefactors can own their own clump of bamboo in the Lake Chapala Area. Your donations help offset the costs of planting and maintaining the bamboo groves which are part of an effort to support the environment and provide local jobs.

Bambú Warriors produces many useful household products that encourage the market for bamboo. This in turn creates more jobs for local Mexicans. We already produce walking sticks, lamps, bannisters, kitchen utensils, back scratchers, long-armed shoe horns and many other items that you can use. We also welcome your ideas for more products!

In addition to all our bamboo related activities, Bambú Warriors also offers secure, long and short-term covered parking for your cars and boats. Keep us in mind if you spend part of the year NOB. Our covered parking is designed to protect your vehicles from inclement weather and sun. Our prices start at $1000 pesos per month. Call us for complete pricing options.

If you would like to make a private donation, proceeds go directly to paying Bambú Warriors staff and purchasing bamboo. You can play an environmental role in a more private way. Donations of any amount are welcome.
